"Boomerang's Bomber" will be 12 on April 30. Price is $3500. MFTHBA registration number is 95-48476. He is 15-2.
He was bred by Ray and Dolly Watkins in Republic, and purchased (together with his Mom) by Sue Smith on March 31, 1996. Sue was in the process of moving to Montana, but still running back and forth between there and Wenatchee when my wife bought him on May 18, 2004.
Betty Chalfant in Enumclaw told us that his Mom (Queen Esther B.) was the first Fox Trotter she ever rode. On one of her notes to my wife, Betty said "She is the perfect Fox Trotter conformation." Betty's husband Bruce rode his Daddy, Shawna's Boomerang B., who is also the sire of Gina Gardner's many time World Champion "My Chocolate Mousse."
He is boarded at Bruce and Betty's place in Enumclaw for thirty days, and Betty will give him a spring "tune up" in their arena. Betty should have him listed on Dreamhorse soon, if she has not already done so.
Bottom line is he's got the right blood, excellent feet, current on shots, and he is over the stupids. My wife rode him on the trails with no problem. He is a bit spoiled, and would be a good "first horse" but (in my opinion) would benefit greatly from a more experienced rider who knows how to "shift his gears" and help bring out his full potential.
